Kerala, a state on India's tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It's known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. National parks like Eravikulam and Periyar, plus Wayanad and other sanctuaries, are home to elephants, langur monkeys and tigers.

Day 1Munnar

Arrival at Cochin. Then to Munnar. This beautiful hill station was once the summer capital of the British Government in India. The never ending vast expanse of tea plantations and round the year moderate climate makes it a little haven for visitors. On the way visit the very famous Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 2Munnar

After breakfast to Echo point and Mattupetty Dam. Speed boating facilities are available here. The dam is flanked by forests and vast expanse of grass land on one side and the Kundala tea plantation on the other. Afternoon visit Rajamala- house of the highly endangered mountain goats - the Nilgiri Thars (Rajamala is closed from Jan 21st to Mar 31st, 2019). Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 3Thekkady

Morning proceed to Thekkady. By noon at Thekkady. Then proceed to Periyar lake around which the sanctuary is built, for boating (cost extra). This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing the wild life at close quarters from the safety of a boat. You can also enjoy a plantation tour covering tea,coffee, cardamom, pepper, cinnamon etc. Stay in Thekkady.

Day 4Alleppey

Morning after breakfast drive to Alleppey. By noon check in at the houseboat. Do a mind blowing cruise through the the legendary backwaters of Kerala. On the way you will witness a full range of lifes and activities and some mind boggling sceneries. Overnight at Houseboat. Description: Houseboats are huge, slow moving exotic boats used for leisure trips. They are the remodeled version of kettuvallams of olden times which were used to carry tons of rice and spices. The present day house boat is a private boat with fully furnished spacious bath attached bed rooms, hygiene kitchen, dining area and private front deck to capture the beauty of the back waters. The houseboat check in time is 12 noon and the cruise and stay will be till next day 9 am. During the cruise you will witness a full range of lives and activities and some mind boggling seeneries.The menu in the houseboat is fixed with different fixed menu options for Vegetarians and Non Vegetarians.

Day 5Cochin airport drop.

Morning after breakfast check out from the houseboat and proceed to Cochin Bus Stand for return journey.
